Blue Space
Phyllis Bramson
The color blue can stand for profane and sexual innuendos. My painting, Don’t Trust Lust settles on that. On the surface, my paintings usually provide a fictitious backdrop for eroticism; believing that the hand still has an aura, and also can be a repository for tenderness and intoxication. Furthermore, my painting in the Blue Space exhibition doesn’t take matters of decorum all that seriously, refusing to separate manners of taste from larger questions about ‘good behavior’.
