This painting is about the desire for winning and victory – how many people are willing to do anything to attain it. The cloud background is intended to give the image an over-the-top feeling of heavenly blissfulness and is intended to be ironic. As with all of my trophy paintings, my reflection can be seen throughout the painting as an acknowledgement of my own desires for success.
