Morality Play

A pacifier is surrounded by a circle of dogs sniffing each other’s butt. The pacifier represents Freud’s oral stage, the first stage in human psychosexual development – our earliest erogenous zone. The surrounding dog circle’s significance is twofold – It is a humorous reference to the animal nature of our sexuality as well as representing aspects of sexuality that can cause shame, fear or embarrassment although it really shouldn’t. Our feeling toward sexuality play an important role in how our morality develops.
