Imagine a Place to be Among Friends: James Murray
03.17.2017 – 04.29.2017
Aspect/Ratio Projects is pleased to present Imagine A Place To Be Among Friends, thùùoks to the past, and grows from archival research on vanished queer communities with the intent of radically reframing contemporary sexual politics. Through different discursive media, Murray proposes new conceptions of queer time and space that draw upon the interwoven themes shared by dance music and BDSM culture. Imagine A Place to Be Among Friends celebrates the transgressions of queer discourse.
James Murray is a visual artist and music producer with a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston & Tufts University and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
