Ceramic plates stack on top of one another with the remnants of a shattered plate sitting atop the pile. A nest made of colorful telephone wires holds a small handful of ceramic eggs. Marrying the domestic symbol of the dining room plate with the nest’s association with home, Fischer’s work gestures toward companionship and possibility.
